I hadn't really thought about it but I am pretty sure they are gluten free. Also, it would be easy to add chocolate chips or peanut butter chips or actual sugar if macros aren't a big concern.

Day two of operation "Lean to". Making good progress. Won't have the metal roof on until Monday. One of the guys is going in for kidney stone surgery tomorrow. I seriously doubt he'll be up to doing anything Monday so lets say the roof will go on sometime next week. But things are moving in the right direction. The shed to the right is coming down. It was built on an area where some trees from the property were buried and the ground is now sinking in. The shed is all crooked and the roof leaks. I've been informed that once it is gone my wife wants a "She Shed". Yes, I kid you not. She even has pictures of what she wants it to look like. Curses on you HGTV.

Kidney stones suck. I lost the exact count but I have passed about 18 or 19 of those bastards. Now, I drink so much that my piss looks like water.

I've never had one. Hope I never do. He said he's already passed four or five. This last one is too big to pass so they have to go after it. My wife had one on Thanksgiving Day about 5 years ago. She was in some serious pain. I got her to the hospital and into a room. But not before she barfed on one of the gurneys as they were helping her down the hall. That's how bad she hurt.

They sedated her and started pumping fluids. They told me to go home that this was gonna take awhile. I had just fixed a plate and sat down at my parents when the phone rang. Didn't even get one bite. She had passed it and was ready to come home. So off to the hospital I went to pick her up.

Thanksgiving was a little late but at least we were all together.

Heading to buddies house for a crawfish boil. I am bringing 5 handguns, 4 rifles, 2 shotguns, and God only knows how much ammo. Oh, and of course, targets, clays, and a clay thrower.

I am also bringing a cheesecake and some more "cupcakes". I tweaked the recipe some and they now have a richer flavor and are more brownie like. Overall, I am pleased with them.

Sounds like a good time and delicious. I spent the morning running back and forth to Lowe's. Wanted some galvanized bolts to attach the trusses with. I'm sure they would have done the job but I wasn't as comfortable with just the lags holding them up. Now I know for sure they aren't going anywhere. Then the guys doing my wife's yard work (I despise yard work) needed more landscaping blocks, so back to Lowe's we went for 30 more of those.

Then I was finally able to do some work on project "Lean To". After I ran out of things to do there I pulled the bass boat into the shop and drained the fuel tank. Blasted thing was half full. Drained over 12 gallons of old gas out of it. Also pulled the batteries. Just for grins I checked to see if they'd take a charge. Nope, not gonna happen. So I'm going to need three new batteries. Two for the trolling motor and one to start the outboard. The tech is coming Thurs. to check the engine over.

I had promised the wife I'd install her garden spigot. So I did that and hooked the hose to it so now she can water her flowers more easily. When all that was done it was around 5:00pm and I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. My stomach started complaining so I put everything away for the evening and went in to grab something to eat. So that was my day.

Still didn't get the chipper shredder out which I've been meaning to do. We have quite a few branches/twigs that have fallen and need to be ground up. Maybe tomorrow.

Sounds like it was at least a productive day.

I put a pretty good dent in the mudbug population. The deserts were a hit. We made a lot of noise and got to stretch the legs of some of the guns. I was hitting a mansize silhouette with handguns at 150 yards, and got to take some of the rifles out to 300. It pretty neat to score hits at 300 with a rim fire. The little 17 wan is a keeper. No surprise, the '06 and 270, from standing with a mediocre rest put six shots total between both rifles into a group smaller than my palm at 300 yards. Pretty impressive considering there was no actual bullseye and was just shooting at the center of a piece of cardboard. One of these days, I want to take them out further under ideal conditions.

All in all, I had a good time.

Btw, the '06 is a pre-accutriger 110 I have had for about 20 years. It has a really light Timney trigger and it is my baby. It is ridiculously accurate and I have absolute confidence in it. It has shot many a raged hole. The 270 is a Remington 700 my grandparents bought years ago for my brother. I bought it from him a while back and the first 3 shots I fired from it went into 1 hole at 100 yards. These 2 rifles will never leave my possession.

Here's what I did today. Three 12x12 commercial doors. Got them all installed and working. My everything hurts. I've got aches and pains on top of my aches and pains. My sciatic nerve is giving me a fit.

When I stand up I have to make sure all my stuff (knees, hips, lower back) are going to cooperate with me before I take a step. Tomorrow I do the electric openers.

At least there's not as much lifting and carrying with those as with the door sections.

I am trying to die it seems. I have been sick for days and now I am finally having to fight to say anything. . . . . Disease and Pestilence, my children, keep getting sick, so in turn, I keep getting sick, only I am not recovering anywhere near as fast as they are. So I have started my fathers cure all. HOT SAUCE!!! Yesterday it was Korean red peppers, today it was measly jalapenos. Need to find something hotter.

Hope you feel better soon. I don't do hot stuff. If I do any Mexican sauces it's mild salsa. However, I do like horseradish or Asian hot mustard. That's the extent of my hot condiments.

Hot? Ghost peppers are downright brutal. Habaneros would be like Ice cream in comparison.

Went back to yesterdays job and got all three openers installed but it was another long day. A lot of detail work has to be done. I ran the wall station and safety sensor wiring down the side of the door track in gray PVC pipe. It turned out really neat and tidy. From the bottom of the pipe to each sensor I used that black corrugated wire loom. Very happy with the way it looks.

It was late and I was in a hurry to clean up and leave so I forgot to get pictures. I'll stop by there tomorrow and snap some.

The metal roof is going on operation "Lean to". They have about 3 more pieces to go to be fully covered. While at breakfast this morning we got a call from the guys working on it crying that the scissors lift wasn't working. So I sped home to see what was going on.

It took me a few minutes but I found a wire that had come loose from it's terminal end. This was down in the bottom of the control box. I was fortunate that I found it as quickly as I did. Stripped the wire, installed a new terminal and put it back where it belonged on the screw terminal. Bam! back in business. Everybody happy again.

Here are pics of the opener installs I did on this job. I think running the wires down the pipe turned out really well. Here you can just make out the gray pipe running down the side of the track and then the black wire loom over to the yellow safety sensor.

The doors were kind of close together. Had to stagger the openers.

And here is operation "Lean to". Roof is completed. The fellows who have been doing the work have agreed to close in both ends and put OSB up on the walls. So the project continues.

Oh, the marine techs came by and looked at the boat engine. They said it started on the second try and ran great. They were thoroughly impressed that it ran this well after sitting for 8 years. All the compression readings were good. The only other problem is the water pump impeller. I've already ordered a rebuild kit and will do that myself. New trailer tires are on the way too. Might be in the water by next weekend.

Dropped the lower unit on the Merc 150 today. I received the replacement water pump so I went ahead and did the repair. Taking it apart was no problem. I took my time and undid all the nuts holding the lower unit on and then took a rubber mallet to separate it from the engine.

Changing out the water pump was pretty straight forward. Was very methodical in keeping the sequence of pieces in order. The kit came with more parts than I needed. I guess it's a kit that can be used on multiple engines with different ones using different gaskets. I got it all put back together.

Now re-installing the lower unit is a trick. You've got four things to keep track of while you're trying to get it back on. There's the splined drive shaft, the water transfer tube, the gear shift connection and a speedometer water pickup tube. It's like patting your head and rubbing your belly while hopping on one foot while reciting the Declaration of Independence. Actually, that would be easier.

And I had to do it twice. The first time I still wasn't getting water to flow out the "Tell Tale" hole. So I dropped it back out and hooked up the water to it and spun the water pump to make sure it would send water up the transfer tube. I was afraid a mud dauber wasp nest may have clogged things up. The building it came out of was full of them.

Got it together the second time and started the motor. It took a little while but I finally started seeing some water flow from the engine. I think we'll be good to go. Next I paint the wheels. It was cool and damp here today. It'll be in the 80's tomorrow.

Went and hauled off some old furniture from my grandfather's house. I looked like the Beverly Hillbillies minus Granny on the back but got it all in 1 trip. Then, after a trip to the store, just laid around and relaxed for a bit before fixing burgers. Of course, I got my workout in after dinner settled. Decided to change it up a little and instead of weighted pull ups, I just did 100 at body weight and drank some coffe while watching the goats play. Fixing to cook the wife some pancakes and turkey bacon for breakfast.

WOUNDERING WHY IT WAS SO HARD TO GET BACK ON HERE. Have been trying to get all the places back on my machine after ATT decided that internet service was not essential.
