In a pneumatic rifle, given no restriction on propellant gas/air cylinder size or cylinder pressure (even if the cylinder is too big to be hidden inside but must be visible), how does maximum power per shot compare with a full-powered rifle powered as usual by explosive-powered cartridges? (As regards possible air pressures, I have heard that some modern scuba cylinders can take 300 bar/atmospheres of pressure.)
