Marine shooting in VA

QUANTICO, Va. — Officials say a Marine killed a male and female colleague at a base in Virginia before committing suicide.

Base spokesman Lt. Agustin Solivan says it began around 11 p.m. with a shooting that killed one at Marine Base Quantico. The suspect then barricaded himself inside the barracks, prompting a standoff with authorities.

Authorities eventually entered the barracks early Friday and found a second victim dead along with the suspect dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

No names have been released by Solivan says all three of the dead are Marines.

Solivan says the shooting was an isolated incident and authorities are confident there are no other casualties. The base was put on lockdown after the shooting but the lockdown has been lifted.

Not sure if this PTSD caused or simply an incident of jealously or a drinking rage but suicides among our warriors is climbing...:facepalm:

I was not applying any disrespect for the Marines in the story. I served overseas myself and know whats it like to be away from home for long stretches and the sacrifices one has to make while serving.

Also my heart and prayers go out to the fallen Marines and their families in that unfortunate live training accident recently in Nevada, in which 7 Marines lost their lives and 8 more were injured.

Ya I'm not sure Viet Nam was a war zone. Jar head for 3 years. I still screw my hats on. Sure I do I like women also dip shit. Lots of us have been shot at and not become murders.
