I have used it on most of my platforms (The ones that fit), I have not tried cleaning Polymer parts, but I have had outstanding results on metal components. Best $75 I have spent on gun maintainance to date.

I have two of them, a small one for little parts and a bigger one that i can fit whole handgun frames in, there cheap and work very well.

I have one at work on my bench for small parts. Have not ran any gun parts through it yet though.

I use multipurpose cleaner. Nothing too specific. At least so far. I plan to buy gun specific cleaner designed for use in the unit. I want to see if there is a difference in cleaning power. But for now any multipurpose cleaner/degreaser I find..


*The unit in the video above is a heated unit.. It is labeled as a Chicago Electric brand, but there is an exact model out there that is branded and sold by a gun cleaning company.. Same exact unit and costs a bit more.

I'm going to have to get one. I'm a facility manager for a Federal LE office and the enforcement guys have an ultrasonic big enough for long guns. Everything comes out really clean with no effort. I like that idea.
