fastest I went on the street is about 160 (in a Viper). The fastest in the air was about 450 knots at 200 feet in an F-16 C

What a rush

Speed is great but stopping is more important. I never feared climbing or high altitudes just the sudden stop at the end was always paramount on my mind. 140 on a bike was just enough for me. If my front wheel comes off the ground the back wheel will follow soon.

It definitely falls under "there is a time and a place for everything ". I always took rides out into the sticks or to the track to open her up. She didn't get opened up around traffic.

As for stopping, I totally agree but it is pretty impressive how well sportbikes will stop and at stupid speeds, just letting off the gas results in massive deceleration due to the wind resistance.

Now, as strange as it may sound, I would much rather run those speeds on a bike than in a car. The bike is actually more stable at high speed. It is essentially a giro. The effect is just like a spinning top. The faster it spins, the more stable it is.

If that seems strange, think back to being a kid on a bicycle. When you were rolling down the street pretty good, the bike was pretty stable and you could even let go of the bars. On the other hand, try going extremely slow and it was much more difficult. Stop and you better put your feet down.

Hell yes the bike went down the road even if you were not on it. Clean up with a sponge. A little shudder at these speeds make dirty underwear.

I've been taking piano lessons and I play whenever I can. Here I am tickling the ivory's while we cruise around. But I'm always safety conscious so I'm sure to wear my helmet. You can't be too careful.

Here I am on my previous bike. For some reason I was accused of being a child predator so I had to get rid of it. People just don't understand me.

Looks like you lost a lot of weight between those two photos...that must be the new "Barbie" edition bike.

Na, just the opposite. The "Patience" bike was about 8 years ago. The piano bike is more current. It's the angle the picture was taken from that makes me look heavier. It's an optical delusion.

The car with the back cut out looks like the mini van that was hit from behind on I 75 by fast moving crotch rocket. Rider went through rear window into the front seat and lived. Helmet was a full face snell.
