Are the ballistics of the .300 blackout worse than .30-30?

I've never looked myself but I have heard people say they are similar.

If using the 300 or the 30-30 cartridges in a bolt action rifle, then, the shells can be reloaded using Your choice of point tip bullits, drop them to a 90 or 100 grain and You then will see a very good performing rifle.
I would like to find an old Stevens or Savage bolt action 30-30 or 300 but not e lever gun.

I've been messing with the 300blackout for a while now but I had a mis-hap deer hunting the other day and I'm considering selling the whole setup.

What ammo were you using? Any luck uploading the video yet?

Great soft tissue damage,would not use them on large game.

plenty of guys are having great results. I took a bad shot. I knew going into it that shot placement would be much more important.

My odd caliber fondness without a doubt is, .444 Marlin. Had an old buddy that had a .444 Marlin lever action. I loved shooting that thing. The .444 Marlin happens to be a .44 round of course, but the casing is about the length of 2 .44 Magnum casings. The knock down energy is great, but the trajectory specs kinda suck. He used it to deer hunt. Certainly overkill, but as he said, I'm to old to chase the poor thing down, so I want it to drop dead right where it's standing, and he was right about that. He never had to chase one down. It was always within 10 feet of where it was standing when he hit it.

My father in law had a .444 for fourscore years. (sorry I got carried away. He only had it a couple years.) it was quite nice, and a hard hitter. Very impressive round. He ended up trading it in on a .308 Marlin Express, which he likes even more.
