What's your favorite weapon(s)?

No politics, religion or anything else in this thread please!

It does not have to be a firearm but you need to own it or owned it at some point. Let's try to 3 per person. Post pics, details or links to build threads if possible. Tell us why it's your favorite, future changes you have planned for it etc.

1. Sig Sauer 1911 TacOps
It was my first and only 1911. Great trigger and has worked flawlessly right out of the box. No FTF or any other malfunctions to date. Approximately 400 rounds down range. No changes needed

2. Ruger 10/22
Who doesn't enjoy plinking right? This was actually my first 10/22 and like most of my other toys I wanted to make some changes to it. I'm happy with the way it is now but if I change anything it could use some better glass.

3. AR-15
This was my first AR to own but I had a ton of experience with the platform so I built one. After doing a ton of reading I made a decision to chamber it in .300 blackout and decided I wanted it to be a SBR. Still no rounds down range since I just recently finished it after finally receiving my tax stamp. I'll eventually put some better sights on it and possibly some sort of red dot.

Do you mean favorite weapon that I own or by class of fire arm or by model?

By Class:
Handgun : .357 mag Revolver
Rifle: AR-15

Model:
Handgun Ruger GP100
Rifle: LWRC M6

As it happens I just happen to own those particular favorites.

Pics show:

3 GP100s

and one LWRC a couple times

And at the end my favorite of my GP100's my 3 inch.

:)

Just favorite weapon period. Class doesn't matter at all. You can put bows, knifes and even slingshots (lol)

Nice favorites btw

Your SBR is pretty cool too.
Mine is prm pinned so I dont ave to pay the tax stamp but the 14.7 inch barrel does give it a little of the "almost SBR" look :)

I gotta pick just 3? Hmmm...

Numero uno would have to be my Savage 110 in 30-06 with Timney trigger and 3-9 Leupold scope. It is easy to carry and ridiculously accurate. It will consistently shoot raged holes at 100 yards and sometimes not so ragged. It is definitely worthy of better glass but the 3-9 works well for hunting.

My favorite weapon to hunt with is my bow. It is extremely satisfying to see an arrow zip through flesh and bone. Mine is not a fancy new model put it is plenty deadly if I do my part. It is a Parker Hunter Mag single cam. The draw weight is 74 lbs.

My favorite handgun is my 6" stainless Ruger GP100 in 357 mag. All she does is put holes right where I want them and a smile on my face.

Thanks.
I need to finish my 5.56 as a 16" but other toys have taken over lately

Mine are all crew served.

You own them? Pics or info?

Feel free to post more if you'd like. I figured 3 would give us a good idea of what each other prefer and our strengths/weaknesses.

I have friends that live to bow hunt. They'll disappear into the woods once deer season opens lol. They always come out looking like wooly boogers with smiles on their faces

Nice 3

Yeah, the Koreans took the best parts of 3 of the best modern rifles and built an excellent rifle.

They took what is basically an AR15 lower receiver with a modified bolt, mated with the AK long stroke gas system and added the adjustable gas port similar to the FAL.

Accuracy of an AR with the anvil like reliability of an AK.

My rifle has been beat on for nearly 20 years and more than 10k rounds without as much as a hiccup.

Trust is a beautiful thing:rockit:

My favorite by far is the (Nickel) S&W 29-3 and the (blued) 29-4 is a close 2nd. Neither of these guns have seen light loads, or specials and they just keep on trucking.

In 3rd place is the S&W 40c. But I'm almost positive it will be bumped down a notch by my AR.

#1 XDm 4.5 9mm

#2 Remington Versamax (plug out)

#3 Stoeger 20gauge coach gun
(Wife's shotgun)

If I have to use a rifle I rely on an older Remington 700 30-06 "open range" model with iron sights set at 100yrds, scope mounted set 100yrd with yardage rings.
