Ebola Patients Coming to US

Does this make any sense on any level? Lets bring a horrible (so far incurable*) virus to a continent that doesn't have it.

Some conspiracy theorist are predicting it will be leaked (on purpose) to seriously deplete the US population. I hope they're wrong but have no doubt it could happen.

*I say incurable but some people have beat it. What I mean is that so far there is no vaccine for it or something like the flu shot to help keep from getting it.

Yeah I saw the ambulance driving on the Atlanta freeway from airport to hospital, i was a little curious why they had no police escort, if they got into a crash could be a bad thing. Anyways I think they brought them here so they would be close to CDC in Atlanta but I wish that they did not bring them here myself.......

Sadly, I think humanity is ripe for a plague. Mother Nature is pissed off by the way we treat her, and she may well have her revenge. In the long run, a pandemic that wipes out 10-20% of the global population may be a good thing.

Not something I am wishing for of course, but speaking strictly from a historic outlook, it may do our world some good. Afterall, it was the black plague that hastened the end of feudalism in Europe and brought about the Renaissance. And the Spanish influenza epidemic helped bring a halt to hostilities in WW1.

We will have to wait and see what happens, but if you think about it the last thing that was thought of as a plague, was AIDS. A so far incurable disease that affects many people. It will be fairly interesting to see what the next plague will be, and hopefully I will already be in my grave and not have to worry about it.

If I could have a vote I'd prefer a EMP or solar flare or something along those lines. At least those who have prepared will have a fighting chance. If Ebola or some other killer virus sweeps the nation, how would we ever eradicate it and think of the cleanup mess.

I think I need to check Ebay for a couple environmental suits.

Seems to me that they are working very well. Contact with bodily fluids ,how about the local sewer system. No big deal the government has it under control.

Not to change the subject, all things considered....

The number of people with TB streaming over the boarder as of late leaves us all far more at risk. I'm not a fan of Ebola being here, I'm less of a fan with having TB here that is unchecked and untreated. With a free pass to come and go at any airport till there immigration hearing that will never happen... Spreads faster and has the same ability to kill in mass numbers. Our government is letting a far more dangerous thing happen and the media is looking the other way

None of the recent news is good. And the conspiracy part of me (as much as I try to ignore it) fears it's by design. Why would the government then ship these people all over the country? It just puts pockets of disease all over the place.
