Buck Down

Went back to where I'm from & went hunting with Dad today. This afternoon Dad and I went to the eastern part of the county to hunt a small farm. When we got there Dad started to speak with the landowner as I looked around.

The landowner said he had not seen a deer on two weeks. I then pointed out a feeding buck 400 yards away. The wind was perfect so I led Dad on a stalk. Dad shot the buck at 150 yards and the buck was hit but moved to 245 yards. Dad then shot again and the buck fell over. His Ruger American in .243 did a great job.

Dad had him cut up into steaks, roasts and burger.

Nope not Florida ,safe to go get back in your tree stand. Picture taken out west . Still make you wonder about ground blinds like I use. I do use pro ears and can hear all kinds of weird sounds around me.

You've got lots of bears in Florida.......and boa constrictors........and alligators. Being top of the food chain comes into question.

The only thing that gets me up here in NC are mosquitoes. And they usually aren't lethal.
