It's possible that things are getting closer to collapse. Don't know what might trigger it. Financial, Gun Confiscation or something not yet identified but It appears that the government is preparing for civil unrest right here at home.
One scenario could be that the government is attempting to artificially inflate the economy. Not unlike the housing market was. This means that the bubble will eventually burst. But this time it will be on a much larger scale. The dollar may become worthless. You haven't seen inflation yet compared to what prices will be if this happens. Continuing with this scenario, it could be timed toward the end of Obummers last term. This would allow them to declare martial law and thus suspend further elections until things return to normal. This could take a decade or more.
All these events combined would cause a revolution. Another civil war. That may be what the government is preparing and training for. Will it be our troops going against it's own people or will they bring in UN or foreign troops? Troop activity may not happen immediately. They may wait for the population to thin due to attrition. Food, health care, medicine may be very difficult to get if you can even get to it. Or the government may come riding in to the rescue but insist you come to a central location where you can be taken care of. It will probably look something like a prison once you get there and you won't be able to come and go freely once you're there.
Ehhh, maybe I've been reading too much. But I have to ask myself. Why does the government have (recent) laws like the Patriot Act (Spying, Surveillance on US citizens) , NDAA (Unlimited detainment without cause or trial), why so many bullets, why armored vehicles, drones, gunned aircraft to apparently be used on American soil one can only assume on it's people. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst folks.
