Bought a new Smith and Wesson M&P40 Shield

My favorite IWB for me is a Compt-Tac model that is no longer made. If you want to try a "hybrid" the Crossbreed line is very good. They offer a money back period which NO holster makers offer, of very few at least.

Bought a new Smith and Wesson M&P40 Shield

Congrats! They seem to be a great carry gun. I have played with the 9mm version but not the 40S&W. Have you decided on a holster?

    Mosin Nagant, Mauser & Arisaka

I had a 7.7 jap years ago, great shooter. It had been sportarized. If I remember correctly Hornady makes special runs of 7.7 & 6.5 and Grafs & Sons used to stock it.

    Savoy Leather Holster

My loving wife ordered a Savoy Leather SAVOY LEATHER | Handcrafted Leather Goods holster for me on our anniversary. It came in today and I couldn't be happier! Great quality and it looks beautiful. The Ruger SR1911 looks pretty sharp in it if I do say so myself :D

    Belts

That's why I suggested the five stitch and meant to also include the insert. It's an extra $15 but makes for a great set up.

    Belts

I'm a firm believer in a good belt when carrying. A good belt will make you forget a gun is on your side. It will hold like it should and not move or roll. I highly recommend The Belt Man belts. I know a lot of people who use these belts, myself included, and have never heard a bad word...

    Scope advice please?

Actually for a good mount that is rather cheap. If money wasn't a problem then I would highly recommend a LaRue mount LaRue Tactical SPR / M4 Scope Mount QD LT104 | LaRue Tactical :D

    Scope advice please?

30mm means the scope body. American scopes use 1" mounts and European use the 30mm mounts. There are some American scopes though that do have 30mm bodies. You just have to read the paperwork or box that the scope is in. I would suggest the Burris A.R.-P.E.P.R. 1 piece... Burris AR-P.E.P.R...
