Well I am sure they do something, but bounce would not be the first thing that comes to mind. But they are known, at least when I was in the Army, as Bullet Stoppers.

I've seen that video before, and it's is a good one.

Sure strategically our system may have been better, but given my choice, I would probably take the MG42 over the 1919,

The SMG choice would be a bit tougher. The M3 and M1 are more accurate and pack a bigger punch, but that 32 round mag and lighter ammo of the MP40 has it's advantages also.
