The DOMA decision?

I have no problem with the decision.

It's really quite simple...

If you don't like gay marriage, DON'T GET GAY MARRIED

As I understand it, it takes Federal Government out of the equation and places it back in the States hands. Since NC has legislation defining marriage as between a man and a woman it doesn't really affect us.

But taking the Fed Gov out of anything is a good thing from my perspective.

Although this does open the door for states friendly to same sex marriage to grant the same benefits that traditional marriages get.

It will cost US tax payers billions paying benefits to all who claim to have same sex spouses. The utility I retired from gave them benefits in 98 and our insurance doubled the first year because of aids claims. You guys like it and will pay though the ass for it literately.

I think that's 100% bullshit. Aids? What is this 1985?

Only just over 1 million people in the US have the virus.

Food stamps?

You do know that on average, homosexual people make more than the national median.

Also, the number of citizens this will effect is so small it is basically a non-entity.

Now, whether you agree with someone's sexual preference is your business. But frankly your debating points need some help.

Besides, more people paying health insurance = lower rates eventually.I was not referring to gays on food stamps but all the others that will be required to have insurance. If you want to suck a dick have at it.

Just another step toward gov't oppression of churches, religious organizations, and the individuals that support them.

There was a lawsuit last year against a baker that did not want to make a cake.
Chicago refused to allow Chick-fil-A to open a franchise.

How many same-sex couples are going to be filing lawsuits against churches that won't perform a marriage ceremony for them? That is yet to be seen, but the trends of the past point to a future full of this sort of thing.

It isn't over. There are some who won't be content until they have destroyed all they can destroy of Judeo-Christian morality and those who still support it.

:(

If everyone AND the government(made up of our people) would quit worrying about what the fuck other people are doing this country would be just fine.
