At first it was reported that his father gave him the gun for his birthday but later said he bought the gun with money given to him for his birthday. I know he has been in trouble with the law. I concur. But that won't happen. They'll want to dissect every aspect of his life to find out what made him do what he did. And then try to declare him unfit for trial due to some drug he was on or some event that took place in his past.

And he probably won't see general population in jail due to it being labeled a hate crime (which it was IMO). I don't think he'd last very long if anyone could get to him.

As far as I can tell, it didn't work. It's brought the community closer. He was recognized for what he was. A hate filled, crazy as a loon, lone wolf murderer.

Max, we have a way to deal with the Westboro asshats. It's called the "Patriot Guard." Which is a nation wide network of motorcyclist that escort funeral processions for fallen soldiers and others that are being targeted by these protests. The bikes will park between the funeral procession and the protestors to block them and in some cases will rev up their engines to drown out the shouts from the protestors.
