Gun show

Planned to go to a local gun show today. Was taking a new shooter so he could fondle many different handguns in one location. The line of cars was backed up to the freeway just to get in the parking lot. The location was the Portland Expo Center which is a huge complex with parking for at least a couple of thousand cars. Couldn't get within a mile of the building. Turned around and left. I knew it would be crowded but had no idea what a zoo it would be. Absolute craziness.

Went to the gun show here is Salt Lake today. .223 ammo was sold out by 10 am, hand guns and AR's were flying off the shelf and it was wall to wall people

Lot more Women buying than men and I saw a lot of kids getting there first gun (Thanks Dad!)

We go there at 10:30, full pallets of ammo had already taken a beating. By 12:30, there was very little case ammo left and the relaods were all but gone.

There is a fair possibility that some of the vendors won't have to be there on Sunday as they won't have anything to sale
