Here's the thing. A law that has to be broken in order to save the life of a child--to prevent him from being torn apart by vicious dogs--is very likely an evil law. And a "justice" system that punishes a man (even if "only" by fining him) for being a lifesaving hero--is institutionalized evil. Why, as a (theoretically) free citizen, does any American tolerate this?

It's getting to the point that you hear some politician say something stupid daily. Pelosi and Feinstein in particular but there are others as well. You sit there with your mouth hanging open trying to figure out if you really just heard them say that.

It's becoming a zero tolerance world folks. If you're caught doing something even in the name of saving a child's life. The rule makers aren't intelligent enough anymore to make proper decision. They must refer to the rule book and go by that and that only.

It's kinda like they did here in Kalifornia some time ago,If there was a wreck or a bad accident,And you tried to help the people involved,They would sue you.So after awhile people got to where they would not help.I believe that has changed,And hopefully this will also.It's just stupid shit they bring on themselves.It's a shame they can't see it until people stop getting involved,They want you to think they are protecting the people.............Right.

Most states have good Samaritan laws that will cover you as long as you stay within your training.Anybody can sue anybody for just about anything. Thank a Lawyer.

This is stupid, but the good Samaritan will probadly feel good as to know that a child was save, but it's a shame that he have to paid the money and who knows maybe they will let that go, you think.

Politicians are completely stupid when it comes to the statment of "just saving one child". They completely over look the heroic deeds of hundreds of people a year that do things that are not legislted or goverment sponsored to save our children. We don't need there permission to act responsibly and I don't think Heros check the law and weigh there acts based on law when it comes to saving a childs life. Whether it's breaking the window out of a car or shooting dead and attacker, human or animal. (opinion)

Here is what he should have done (currently condoned by our legislation and news media outlets). I can see the scenario in my head... just like this:

The guy pulls up to the scene of this brutal dog attack and reaches for....... his smart phone to video tape the whole darn thing, so that the police can have a record of the account to put away the responsible party. The media would have hailed him as a bystander who was "helpless" at the fact that big mean vicious dogs were mauling this poor child, and did the right thing not to put himself in danger. At least he had the presence of mind to video the attack so they can have footage to play over and over again on the news.
