NBC News anchor David Gregory is under investigation by police after displaying what he said was a high-capacity gun clip on Sunday's broadcast of "Meet the Press," a spokeswoman for Washington's Metropolitan Police Department said Wednesday.

I jst had to laugh. Argued a point with an item that is illegal were he sat and probably never gave it a second thought of whether or not it was legal to do so.

I don't know what his political affiliation is but do you think they would be pursuing him if he was an Obama butt kisser reporter? I know he's on NBC's Meet the Press but I don't know much about him. What is the punishment for having the "high capacity" mag in DC?

The maximum penalty for conviction on such a charge is $1000 fine and a year in prison.

I doubt he'll get the maximum. He probably won't get much more than a slap on the wrist

If I was the judge, I would look at him and say.... "so, you want this done right" and give him the max

But yea, probably nothing, but "Meet The Press" gets to sport a black eye for a few days

I know this won't happen BUT..... He should be charged. The court can do whatever they want with fine or under advisement but he should be charged. If any of us brought one into DC we sure as heck would be charged.

If so im ok with that... I read the article and must have missed it. But it should have been posted that he had permission on the first line of the article IMHO... But once again the media F*&ks it up...

For what it's worth......from the article:

They either really had permission going in to do this segment or it's an "after the fact" CYA for NBC. Who knows, who cares.
