There is truth in these words.
I know a guy who's wife did everything he liked before the wedding. Afterwards she wanted nothing to do with him. She even admitted that it was all an act to get married. Now they have children in the mix and he is trapped. They go whole weekends without speaking to one another.
I really don't know why people play games like that. If they really didn't have anything in common with the person, why act like you do just to get them to marry you? I think with a lot of people they are more in love with the idea of getting married then they are the person they are getting married to.
