922r Compliance for Imported Weapons

FYI. Imported weapons are only allowed to have a certain number of imported parts on them. Most must be modified with US parts in order to comply. AK, Saiga and others must meet compliance. I haven't found what non compliance fines would be or what they could do to you. But I guess if they wanted to, they could make your life difficult.

Yep were about to deal with that on the AK kits were about to build. Luckly the trigger goup takes up a few along with the mag having tec 3 parts and the muzl brake. From what im gathering from some reading also the stock and grips could also pass as compliance iteams.

Keep in mind this only applies to Rifles and Shotguns. Pistols are exempt from 922r.

Here's a helpful link for 922R parts. There's never been a documented prosecution for non compliance of an individual BTW. Not saying to try it, just saying.
