I personally know 2 people who have shot nighttime burglers. Both survived, and both went directly from the hospital to jail. Judges seem to be tougher on these guys when they're shot inside a home. Maybe cuz there is no doubt? Maybe they are in fear of them going back for retaliation? :shrug:
