Been to Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. That's it. The end. Hell.....these days step into a lot of Walmart's or McDonald's and you can get that feeling all over again. Mexico has come here.

Plan on doing a lot of traveling once I retire but not venturing out of the US.

Wait a second. I need to retract the "Not leaving the US". I may cross over into Canada on occasion. If I'm going to do "The Great Loop" it might be necessary to go into Canadian waters. But that's it. They do have some beautiful areas up there. They have some really cool locks to go through. Marvels of engineering.

A pregnant 14-year-old U.S. girl was recovering from non-life-threatening wounds after she was shot by police in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas near the U.S. border over the weekend, state prosecutors said. U.S. officials were joining the investigation in the city of Reynosa, the Tamaulipas attorney general's office said.

The girl, who is four months' pregnant, was shot Sunday night during a high-speed chase near the border crossing into Pharr, Texas, Attorney General Ismael Quintanilla Acosta said in a statement Tuesday. Neither she nor the fetus are in danger, authorities said.

Police gave chase after they saw the driver of the truck leave a convenience store with an unspecified weapon, according to the attorney general's office. They opened fire on the truck's tires when it failed to stop, and the girl, who was in the passenger seat, was struck once in the stomach by a bullet, the statement said.

Quintanilla Acosta said the officers were being questioned. Representatives of the U.S. consulate in Matamoros visited the hospital where the girl, officially identified only as "Indira N" because she is a juvenile, was being treated and were assisting in the investigation.

Once again I will never sent foot in that country...:uhoh2:
