When a Glock and a 1911 breed !!!

I never was a CZ fan, but have a buddy who can't say enough about his CZ 75 that he was talked into by someone else.

I seen this on FB the other day and instantly thought, that's a Glock looking 1911. I opened it up and checked it out. Was surprised it was a CZ. Model # is P-09. Comes in a 9mm (Mag Cap 19+1) or a .40. (Mag Cap 15+1).

I think I like it alot. Looks to sell for about $450. Not a bad price IMO.

It's hammer fired, Single or Double Action like a 1911. Comes in a Decocker model that if I understand right, comes with parts that you can covert it to Manual Safety, or you can get it with Manual Safety already installed. I'd go for the Decocker model myself.

Anyone else ever played with one or own one?

Yeah, that is a bit of a sin isn't it? It's really not Glock much other than being Polymer. Maybe a Polymer 1911 would have been better. I still thought it was pretty cool.

I do think they are good guns but for historical reason I will never own a product of the Czech republic

Kind of a valid point there, BUT... Think of Pearl Harbor and if we didn't buy any Japanese products? Or AK-47 being a Russian Kalishnikov and all the country variants there of that AK's are imported from Romanian, Yugoslavian, etc etc. I guess I'm willing to overlook some of those things. History is History and it is what it is. What if the American Indians said they'd never buy a product made in USA due to how they were slaughtered and their land taken from them???

Not trying to disagree, I totally get it. Maybe I'm just more forgiving and willing to move on.

When our country does not produce much anymore what can you do? I do oppose the US use of off shore weapons. FN and Beretta.
