Ridiculous nothing .... This is plain bullshit!! The cops don't have that kind of power because if there is a suspect in any part of town and its a serious crime they can get a warrant in no time.

I'm sure no apology from the US Marshall's either or an offer to pay for any damages these guys inflicted on her apartment. Years back I had a cousin and her husband raided like this in the middle of the night. They sued like three departments of police and were awarded like $150K. Lucky this lady and her boyfriend weren't shot but it does happen...wrong address, false information, etc.

It happens more than it should. We have a military style law enforcement mentality. I support them but wish they would have more oversight. I do not like law enforce for profit.

The primary problems i see is the current trend of ever more SWAT teams in ever more and smaller jurisdictions.. this gives a huge incentive to Chiefs and Dept Heads to lower the bar on when they get used, to justify their expense via higher utilization rates..

This is not healthy for our republic.

-Ironically this exact same discussion just started up on another forum and one Moderator there who is a SWAT team member says that that I have these concerns "proves who I am" , whatever that means...

A big problem here is that cops are more focused on enforcing political law than they are enforcing natural law. I'm not saying that's what happened in this case necessarily but I believe it leads to this kind of thing in the end.

Most of the time (not all) there has been some form of contact with the offenders before swat is deployed. Aggressive policing is not being used where it needs to be because it is to dangerous . Would rather go to a shooting than a gun fight.
