Is it legal to kill them where you live ? Here there is a season. They are included in migratory birds.

Yellow-headed, red-winged, rusty,*or*Brewer's blackbirdsand all*grackles,*cowbirds(does not include cattle egret),crows, or*magpies*may be controlled without a federal or state depredation permit when found committing or about to commit depredations on ornamental or shade trees, agricultural crops, livestock, or wildlife, or when concentrated in numbers and in a manner that constitutes a health hazard or other nuisance.
Basically, they are feathered bullseyes.

Sounds like a good excuse for some target practice. Stealing eggs is a capital offense.

Dad grew up in SC and the farm had a large grape vine on the pig pen fence. The crows would eat the rotted grapes on the ground and get drunk. I think the crows here would rather have a bottle Don Perrie Eon.
