I was kinda hoping it might be mocking us, for downgrading it from "planet."

I still cannot believe they downgraded Pluto from planet to something else. Someone got really bored one day and decided to pick on Pluto I guess. I suppose that it is cool we can get a pretty good look at it, but I think it would be more fun to go there. I really hope that one day the Space Program gets back on its feet and we don't stop at the Moon, or Mars. I know they say they are planning a trip to Mars in the coming years, but progress of this kind I think is just to damned slow.

Hard to believe the last time we went to the Moon was in 1972 but by then it was like "Ok we have gone there enough times..let's cut the budget and hibernate for awhile". We should of been on Mars by 1985 and had colonies on the Moon and beyond...but I guess foreign wars were more important issues.

Been checking out Venus/Jupiter brightness right after sunset..look in the Western sky about half-way up. Liked to of been an astronomer but hated advanced mathematics.

I just wanted to take Astronomy as a general ed science course in college (great way to LEGITIMATELY meet college babes at night without the impairment of beer goggles ). Had too many night meetings (fraternity, honor socities, radio station, etc.) to make the lab component of the class though.

Had to take Biology instead. :disgust: Would've REALLY preferred "Applied Anatomy" - especially the labwork... :smoke2:
