Strangely enough, I just picked up a box of that ammo today. The area Cabelas actually had .22 ammo on the shelf. Not much and a 100 round limit; so I bought a box of Norma and a box of CCI standard velocity. Might finally get to the range tomorrow with the Kadet

I've had a chance to handle an ARX. To me it is in the same group as the SCAR and ACR. Too much plastic for my liking and it feels awkward in the hands and when shouldered. True, I haven't fired one yet so that may change my opinion; but if it's anything like the SCAR I will be unimpressed...

Certain prop items can be used more to say something about the character's personality. If you wish to add a little attitude, choosing a unique or flashy weapon can be useful. It also adds more description and "feel" to a scene in the story. And remember that props can also become a signature...

You are correct Max, I think it is just an exercise in engineering. In practice, this rifle basically doubles the potential problems and solves nothing that couldn't be solved buy choosing another more powerful caliber. x2 the recoil x2 the weight x2 the potential for malfunctions x2 the ammo...
