    Television thinks we're stupid

German TV was at it again, in a quite homocidal way. A reporter visited the Bundeswehr (german Army), and got handed one of the (very few) H&K G36 to show how up to date the Bundeswehr is. The poor lady (who obviously had never been told about gun handling) proceeded to hold the (magazine-less)...

    World's Shortest Books

"How to Organize a Successful Invasion of Russia." by co-authors Adolf Hitler and Napolean Bonapart And the follow up from the first guy (which is actually about to success): "How to make everyone think you're a german, without being one." Max

    Your Choice

Being the typically german precise idiot here, I'll draw attention to the fact that the woman is drawing a Beretta/Taurus, while the text mentions a Glock.

    World's Shortest Books

How about: Advanced firearms training. By the German Bundeswehr (Army). It would be really short: "We can't tell you about advanced training, because we don't get any. The End."

    Research Question: Napalm

Maybe they'll even help you with your research, by showing you how a detonating napalm-bomb works. Right after they drop one onto your part of town. Max

    Television thinks we're stupid

German news just minutes ago. "French soldiers are walking around with their rifles at the ready." Cue them showing a french soldier near the Eiffel Tower, with his Famas (I think) slung behind his back. I might be wrong, but I thought a rifle is at the ready when you have the butt against your...

I'd say that's pretty fair. An advantage that doesn't really exist and doesn't really cost anything. Max

    American Sniper movie trailer

I will have to wait for Blu-Ray or DVD, as it only runs over here in germany with a german dubbing (which is really poorly done) and actually cut by about 15 minutes. So, I hope you guys like it, I'll know in about a year. Max

    When to surrender your gun

I know that example was a little extreme (it was a tv-series, after all). As far as real life goes, I'd go by "If you come to take my guns, you better bring yours" Max

    When to surrender your gun

Hello everyone The photo in the link shows a perfect example (from a TV-Series) as of when you should give up your gun. http://www.imfdb.org/images/b/b6/BurnNoticeoshi.jpg Max By the way, of course it's not meant entirely serious.

    Research Question: Napalm

I think the main problem wouldn't be the oxygen (there's plenty of that in a skyscraper), but the resulting fire. Napalm, as far as I know, burns quite hot, so either the building would catch fire leading to a "structural failure" (collaps), or the elevators and staircases would cause an effect...

    Television thinks we're stupid

In the famous "gearing up" sequence of "Independence Day", when the armies are shown teaming up, there is an eastern european (or western asian) soldier shown holding his pistol during a briefing with the finger on the trigger, aiming at his superior. I think in real life he'd have lost his job...

    Television thinks we're stupid

I know that kind of people. It's called applying for a Darwin Award. I was aiming for instances from (reality-) tv, general tv and/or movies, not the news. Max

The combination of clay shooting and squirrel hunting

Don't forget the safety-aspect. If you shoot a squirrel at waist-level or lower, you're almost guaranteed to hit something else as well. If you shoot a squirrel at thirty feet above the ground that risk is much lower. Max

    Television thinks we're stupid

Hello Now, this is an idea of a new topic that can either fail big time, or get quite interesting/funny. But nothing in between those two extremes. It is about (live action) television (and movies) showing dangerously stupid gun-handling, or very, very obvious mistakes. Most recently, a...

The combination of clay shooting and squirrel hunting

I know it includes long periods spent waiting around, but it combines clay shooting with squirrel hunting. And adds a new kind of challenge to both. Billybobs squirrel removal service. - 9GAG Max
