    Murders in SC.

German TV mentioned a "45 Glock", showing photos of a G19. By the way, I heard that those Westboro Baptist Guys want to picked the funerals. How about renting a large (greyhound-kind of) bus, and parking it in front of their group? Max

    Any Steyr AUG-owners around?

I hope so. Because about 99% of those on the internet are either the "classic" version (with integrated scope), or the A3-flattops without any optic or attachment. Max

    Any Steyr AUG-owners around?

Hello everyone I wondered if there's anyone around here who owns a Steyr AUG, preferably the A3-version. I just wanted to know with which attachments people set their AUGs up. So, photos would be great. Thanks in advance, Max

The german "approach" on self defense feels like a joke

On a side note: The "incident" was at the top of the news for days, but yesterday some royal couple in sweden (I think) married, took the incidents place, and now there's no mention of it anymore.

The german "approach" on self defense feels like a joke

There hasn't been much released to the public yet, all that is known that he saw the gun (drawn or not is unknown), and that, from the look of the crime-scene, he must have shot the guy literally as he climbed in, although (intentionally or unintentional) the shot itself wasn't lethal (this is...

    Joke of the day

The introduction of the internet to kids rooms has made parents worry about two things: 1.: What their sons download 2.: What their daughters upload Max

How about the documentary-style: "Here we have two age old enemies, shaking hands."

    H&K G36 really that bad?

Most recent news: The Bundeswehr actually says it was a "fatal mistake" to take a polymer gun into service, as the material is unfit for military-grade stress. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't other polymer guns in military service (like the FNP90 and FN2000, for example) without problems? Max

The german "approach" on self defense feels like a joke

Hello everyone A few days ago some teenagers/young adults broke into a car-workshop with an adjacent private home. The owner, a competition-shooter (who later claimed to have seen a gun on the attackers) shot one of the teenagers, who then proceeded to run, and made it to the street corner...

How do you store/display your guns?

Hello everyone After having quite a hard life as a research-tool (which did leave marks) my airsoft-USP is, at least for now, retired. And because I couldn't have it just lying on my desk, but would't stuff it back into the box and put it away somewhere, I decided to just put it on the wall...

    Red-Dot on scope=Hollywood-Fantasy?

Well, in my novel one character (member of a guerillia-kind of group) has an Mk12 with a scope to provide overwatch, and I thought he may put a small red-dot on top of the scope so he can use the rifle on the way back, in hallways and rooms, where a scope is not practical. So I guess it's not...

    H&K G36 really that bad?

I think I started to understand why a friend of mine, who served in the Bundeswehr, said the german soliders constantly "borrowed" rifles and machine guns from the US-Units. Max

    Joke of the day

My father works in a dealership that sells cars which were leased as fleets, for example, as taxis or by rental-companies. A week ago a foreign guy came in (most of the cars get sold abroad), and "occupied" my father for over an hour while having a very close look at an Audi Q7. In the end, he...

    RV's - Who has em'

We used to have a 1999 Mercedes Sprinter (that one: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) with a so called James Cook equipment, looking much like the one on the picture, only with the roof being flush with the windshield (made an important difference in how much we had to...

    H&K G36 really that bad?

The poor thing, so to say, is, that there is an SAW-version of the G36, with heavy barrel, longer barrel and feeding from a drum magazine, at least. But the Bundeswehr decided to only buy the G36 and the G36K, not the SAW-version. Saving money gone wrong...again. Max

    H&K G36 really that bad?

@Palmerwind: Wouldn't be the first time the german military misused equipment. Some decades ago we started using an american jet, called it the "Starfighter" (don't remember which Model it was). The german air force started screwing around with it, to use it for more "roles". It ended with...

IMI Tavor - Actually "around" or rare and exotic?

Thanks for the quick answers. I was just thinking of giving it to one of the characters in my novel-project, because it kind of resembles her (small, but with a lot of power), and wondered if I could have the characters find it in a house, if that'd be the "needle in a haystack". Max

IMI Tavor - Actually "around" or rare and exotic?

Hello everyone I came across the IMI Tavor/X95 Bullpup-rifles, the "professional" ones as well as the civilian version. I wonder if there are actually a few of these rifles in private hands, or if it's a rifle that gets very rarely bought, like the Barrett M107. I personally only know of one...

Found something that could be ammunition, can someone ID?

@SilverSRT10: That's an important point. I am allowed to own bullets, because I don't own shells, powder etc. If I would own all the parts needed to turn the bullets into rounds, I'd face a few years of jail for breaking gun-control laws. Still would be nice to know how they got into the house...
