Even if you do go to your course not at 100% you'll be able to test yourself or get pointers on how to defend yourself when not a peak physical condition. As we get older, the farther from peak physical condition we get but still need to be able to defend ourselves.

Welcome. Are there any other identifying markings on it? There should be a manufacturers mark on it if it's a real pistol. My first thought is it's a blank or starter pistol similar to this.

Big thumbs up on the plasma cutter. I bought a refurbished Harbor Freight unit off eBay and love it. Never use the torch anymore. Plug it in, attach the air hose and turn it on and you're cutting.

I've got all three. Still can't weld worth a darn. I can stitch things together but it ain't always pretty. Haven't even cranked up the TIG welder yet. Need to start playing with it and see how I do. You might want to get a tank of gas and some solid wire. I think there is less flux to deal...
