My understanding is that the PPS-43c is the consumer version of the PPS-43 Submachine Gun originally chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev, developed by Alexei Sudayev (Russia) during WWII and designed as a replacement for the PPSH41. The PPS-43c comes in 9mm and 7.62x25mm Tokarev.
