Sorry, no, I don't have any details on it.
Wouldn't be surprised to see something from Jeff Quinn about it soon (gunblast.com). He gets his hands on a lot of Rugers.
I don't think it's even in the same ballpark as an AK. Not even a competition: two rifles with very different capabilities...
Not mine...yet...
Perhaps you guys have not noticed as I don't post too often here, but I am a big fan of most of what Ruger has been doing in the last few decades.
From the name of their new rifle you can probably guess what the SR762 is: an AR-pattern rifle in 7.62 caliber, similar to their...
Might be able to make it out the driver's hatch in front of the turret, but it looks pretty tight that way.
There ought to be an 88 nearby to turn it right side up.
I like ARs, but I'm not emotional about any particular brand.
I pretty much like them all.
I haven't shot all that many. A couple Stags, a DPMS or two, POF, Daniel Defense, Ruger, Colt, FN. Probably some others here and there.
So you're suggesting that because a 9mm or .45 will get more velocity with a 10 inch barrel than it will with a 5" barrel, the OP should use that instead of a .223 or 6.8 which will lose velocity when comparing a 16" to a 10" barrel?
Come on, man.
:snoopfacepalm:
A pistol round isn't going...
It's a consignment. They can't negotiate on consignments. If the seller drops the price to $600 I'd go for it, but at $700 I'll let someone else have it. I don't want it that badly.
There are a lot of FFLs around here I'd use before that one anyway. At least 5.
I got a call that the SR1911 I'm waiting for came in to my friend's range on consignment for $700. Used, like new. :emotions34:
I'm guessing the seller bought it from the LGS around here that had it advertised new for full retail ($880). :whymewhyme::facepalm:
No thanks. Not when I can...
I just bought enough primers and powder to load a thousand rounds of .45 acp. My friend is a shooting instructor and has a lot of cast .45 acp ball and a lot of brass he's giving me to get me started.
I don't even have a 1911 yet...
Great present!
the SR1911 (5") is on my short list of guns to buy. In fact it's #1. It's so close I can taste it. Glad you like yours. All the reviews seem overwhelmingly positive.
