Not really sure on what optics to run....judging by the price of the christensen arms at $2700 I would have to run some pretty intense optics. I have heard good things about Zesis, something fairly powerfull out of there line up like the conquest 3-9x50mm might be about what I would want. Again...

^^^^^What he said. My only other suggestion is try as many different bows as you can before you buy. My local archery store has an indoor lane and I shot every bow they had in the store the one day and even shot a few customers bows that were in just to get an idea of what each one was like...

Savage M93 in .17HMR with Pineridge Tactical 3-9x Rimfire scope for .17 HMR. After bore sighting it all I had to do was adjust the turrets back to Zero and 100 yards and I have never changed it since. At 100 yards, 1/2 inch group everytime as long as I do my job.

^^^^I agree on the bullet construction, if the bullet fragments it just makes a mess. If you want a good bullet for meat hunting then go with something fairly solid, that won't break apart on impact and has enough weight and force behind it to pass cleanly through both sides of the game you plan...
